Ferman Akgul, the lead singer of MaNga representing Turkey at Eurovision Song Contest 2010, visited Baku to re-sing the song “Ulu Vətən” (Almighty Homeland) with Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Sevda Alekperzadeh.
In an interview with the Turkish press, Akgul said that he offered to perform a duet to support Karabakh.
” I’m not a politician, and music is one way that I can express my grief. There is a justified struggle here. The entire world must understand this. We have an enormous fan base and many friends in Azerbaijan. For this reason, I follow what happens in Azerbaijan with deep emotions. We always say that Turkey and Azerbaijan are brothers and I believe that we should show this in such days more in the name of art.”
The video clip will be released in a few days.
